Sharp and Tozzi marry in garden
Emily Sharp and Justin Tozzi, both of Sacramento, were married Sept. 16, 2006, in the garden of the bride's grandparents, Paul and Carol Elliott, with Candace MacIntyre officiating.
Emily is the daughter of Eric and Tia Sharp; Justin is the son of Rick and Janet Tozzi and stepson of Parrish Tozzi, all of Woodland.
Meredith Heskett of Woodland, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor, while Laura Paschke of Woodland, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor.
Mat Tozzi of Sacramento, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Bridesmaids were friends of the bride: Leah Miller of Chico, Amie Savala Hutchinson of Foresthill, and Chelsea Fink and Amy Singleton of Sacramento.
Groomsmen were friends of the groom, Chris Weatherford of Woodland, Joey Hutchins and Tony Astin of Knights Landing, Adam Villareal of Sacramento, and cousin of the bride, Patrick Elliott of Woodland.
Elly Heskett of Woodland, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
The bride's gown was ivory and rose taupe satin halter bodice with beads and pearls, full bouffant tulle skirt with a rose trimmed hem.
Her veil was held in place with a small crown of pearls and flowers.
Emily carried a bouquet of white stargazer lilies, green hydrangeas and pink roses.
The matron and maid of honor wore amethyst silk shantung halter tea length gowns.
The bridesmaids wore periwinkle silk shantung tea length gowns.
All the girls carried bouquets of Asiatic lilies, a white stargazer lily, purple lisianthus, pink roses and purple hydrangea.
The flower girl wore a dress with a bodice the same as the bride and the skirt in soft tulle, and carried a small nosegay of pink and cream roses.
The flowers for the wedding were done by Meredith Heskett and Cara Rains.
Emily and Justin greeted 330 guests in the garden of her grandparents.
The Italian Import Mercato of Sacramento catered the event.
The wedding cake was provided by Timothy's Bakery, which was served along with Italian desserts from the Mercato.
The couple took a short honeymoon in Mendicino and will follow it with a trip to Italy next summer.
Emily is a 2000 graduate of Woodland High School and a 2005 graduate from UC Davis with a degree in environmental and resource science, specializing in hydrobiology.
She is continuing her education in Geographic Information Systems while working at UCD as a lab manager in the plant physiology/ecology lab.
Justin is a 1997 graduate of Woodland High School and works as a journeyman for T&S Plumbing of Sacramento as a commercial industrial plumber and pipe-fitter.
The couple make their home in Sacramento.
