Rays Celebrate 69th Year
Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Ray of Moundsville celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Monday, June 5, 2006.
They were united in marriage June 5, 1937 at the Church of God, Moundsville.
Mrs. Ray is the former Mildred L. Clark.
Ray was awarded the Purple Heart with an Oak Leaf Cluster for his service in Europe during World War II. He retired from Triangle Industries, Glen Dale.
They have been active members of Calvary United Methodist Church for over 50 years. In addition to their church activities, Ray is a member of the Masons, Marshall Union Lodge 8, and both have been honored by the Grand Lodge of West Virginia for their active participation in the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 86, in Moundsville.
They are the parents of a daughter. The family includes Linda Burke and her husband, Larry, in Fairfax, Va. They have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
