Rowlands Mark 40 Years
Joe and Connie Rowland of Proctor celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday, April 30, 2006.
They were united in marriage April 30, 1966 at First Church of God, New Martinsville. They moved back to the New Martinsville area from Washington, D.C., in 1969.
Connie Rowland is a native of Silver Hill, W.Va. She is an employee at the Wetzel County courthouse.
Rowland is a native of Hagerstown, Md. He is a retiree of Bayer Corp.
They have three daughters. The family includes Deanna Griffith and her husband, Bryn, of Kingsport, Tenn.; Denise Glennon and her husband, Mael, of Las Vegas and Denita Rowland of Morgantown.
They were honored with a surprise anniversary celebration, held by their children, at First Church of God in New Martinsville. Guests included friends and family from Nevada, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and West Virginia.
