Covingtons married 50 years
Gilbert and Roxie (Terry) Covington will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at 7 p.m. Saturday at Lamplight Church Fellowship Hall.
They request no gifts.
The couple were married in 1954 in Grainger County. R.B. Armstrong officiated.
Their family includes children Roxie C., William G., Andrea J., Sharon E., Steve D., Teresa A. and Mark A.
They have 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Covington retired in 1998 from McGhee Tyson Airbase.
Mrs. Covington works at the Airport Hilton.
The couple attend Lamplight Full Gospel Church.
