DiStefanos Mark Golden Anniversary
Philip and Ellen DiStefano of Shadyside and Tucson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, June 2, 2006.
They were united in marriage June 2, 1956 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Bridgeport.
Ellen DiStefano is the daughter of the late Kenneth and Velma Hoover of West Wheeling. She is a graduate of Bridgeport High School and Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed for many years as an emergency room nurse at Ohio Valley Medical Center.
DiStefano is the son of the late Pete and Lena DiStefano of Wheeling, He is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. He is retired from Ormet Corp.
They are the parents of four children. The family includes Phil and his wife, Laura, of Tucson, Ariz.; Paula Seivertson of Shadyside; Tom and his wife, Nancy, of Cranberry, Pa., and David of Columbus. They have four grandchildren.
To celebrate the anniversary, their children hosted a family dinner in their honor.
