Lester and Mable (Tilley) Allmon of Maryville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 26.
The couple were married Aug. 26, 1954 at the Greenback Depot. W.H. Jones, justice of the peace, officiated.
Their family includes children Debra and Doyle Gray of Maryville and Michael and Beverly Allmon of Maryville.
They have four grandchildren, one of whom is deceased.
Mr. Allmon is retired from Blount Farmers' Cooperative.
Mrs. Allmon is a homemaker, wife and mother.
Mr. and Mrs. Allmon preached and sang over 40 years in various states.
They attend Birchfield Baptist Church.
Both love their dogs, Pepper, Little Bits and Pedro.
