Rebecca Faye Whitehead, daughter of Carolyn and George Denton of Rockford and Leonard Whitehead of Vonore, was united in marriage with William (Billy) Anthony Fox, son of J.R. and Ruth Fox of Knoxville, June 19 at the home of Teresa and Clay Haun of Knoxville. The Rev. Carl McGill officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Jeff and Pat Horton of Maryville.
Escorted by her stepfather, the bride wore a pure white, sleeveless gown with strap around the neck featuring a long train trimmed in sequins, pearls and appliqué lace. The headband was made of twisted silver and pearls and the waist-length veil was adorned with baby pearls. She carried a bouquet hand-made by her sister, Karen Simmerly, consisting of two dozen mixed roses of royal and baby blue with white flowers and ivy trimmed in a baby blue satin ribbon.
Pam Godwin of Rockford, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Jody Davis of Maryville was bridesmaid and Sheina Pilkey of Maryville was train bearer. They wore royal blue tea-length dresses and carried matching bouquets of royal and baby blue roses with white flowers and ivy with a blue satin ribbon.
Charles Davis of Maryville was best man. Tony Reeves of Louisville, the bride's son, was groomsman.
A reception given by the couple's parents was held at Fellowship Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and North Carolina, the couple are living in Knoxville.
The bride is a graduate of Heritage High School. She is the owner of the Kid's Lot Children's Store in Maryville.
The bridegroom is an Air Force veteran with 20 years total military service. He is employed by St. Mary's Holston Health & Rehabilitation Center, where he has been an engineering maintenance supervisor for nine years.
