Hitches to celebrate 50 years

James A. and Marion (Haddox) Hitch of Maryville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 7 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

They request that gifts be omitted.

The couple were married Aug. 13, 1954.

Their family includes children Al Hitch of Louisville, Ky., Duane and Jennie Graves of Maryville, Walt and Aretha Hitch of Crossville and Darryl and Jane Hill of Louisville.

They have seven grandchildren, Jim Hitch, Stephanie Hitch, Andrea Graves, Rachel Tinker, Adam Hill, Hannah Hitch and John Hitch.

Mr. Hitch is a retired dairy farmer.

Mrs. Hitch is retired from the U.S. Post Office.

They attend Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and are members of the Blount County Farm Bureau.
