Franklins celebrate 50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Franklin (Joyce McCammon) of Friendsville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Clover Hill Presbyterian Church, 809 Clover Hill Road, Maryville.
All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend.
They request no gifts.
The couple were married June 6, 1954 at Toqua Presbyterian Church in Monroe County.
The Rev. C. McCoy Franklin officiated.
Mr. Franklin is a veteran.
He is retired from ALCOA Inc. and served 12 years on the Blount County Commission.
Mr. Franklin is an elder and Mrs. Franklin is a deacon at Clover Hill Presbyterian Church.
They continue to operate a farm on Big Springs Road.
