Rachel Leiann Cutshaw, daughter of David S. and Kathi Cutshaw of Maryville, was united in marriage with Christopher Lee Slate, son of Robert and Mable Slate Jr. of Maryville, April 3 at Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Adrian Jones officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Bill Robinson String Quartet and Rhonda Mayfield, pianist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, satin, A-line dress with beaded embroidery and a low, asymmetrical back adorned with three rosettes.
She wore a single layer, fingertip-length veil and carried a hand-tied bouquet of deep red, dusty pink and ivory roses.
Hope Castillo of Maryville was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Cindy Branning and Lindsey Atkins, both of Maryville.
They wore claret satin dresses in the style of their choice and carried mixed, hand-tied bouquets in various shades of red and pink.
Megan Neubert, Lily Neubert and Ashley Neubert were flower girls.
Bible bearer was Jacob Teffeteller.
Robert Slate Jr. of Maryville was best man.
Groomsmen were Michael Slate of Virginia Beach, Va., and Greg Branning of Maryville.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Assisting hostesses were Pat Cutshaw, Vonda Dunn, Fran Williamson, Peggy Williamson, Linda Renninger, Kari Jones, Hilary Storie and Sara Walker.
After a wedding trip to Maui, the couple are living in Maryville.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work.
She is a case manager with the Department of Children's Services.
The bridegroom is seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
He is a land surveyor for Sterling Engineering Inc.
