Lauren Nicole Boettcher of Richmond, Va., daughter of Harold and Diane Boettcher of Raleigh, N.C., was united in marriage with Chad William Saal of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., son of Stephen and Andrea Saal of Maryville, May 15 in Wilmington, N.C.
The Rev. Bill Braswell officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by organist Jan Wilkerson and soloist P.J. Bolduc.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Maggie Sottero's Sarchi dress with Swarovski crystals and embroidery and a chapel-length veil with matching crystals.
She carried a nosegay of silk roses.
Alysia Maxie of Richmond, Va., sister of the bride, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Katie Brown of Knoxville and Laura Brock of Bothell, Wash.
They wore aqua lace, strapless satin gowns with matching wraps and carried nosegays of silk flowers in shades of white and pink.
Stephanie and Katie Saal were flower girls.
Jesse Bush of Knoxville was best man.
Groomsmen were C. Trevor Hawn of Knoxville and Stephen Saal of Maryville, father of the bridegroom.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort, Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
After a wedding trip to Barbados, the couple are living in Wilmington, N.C.
The bride received a Bachelor of Science degree in plant and soil science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
She is a graduate student working towards a Master of Science degree in geology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
The bridegroom received a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
He is employed at PPD in Wilmington, N.C.
