Mr. and Mrs. Harris married 50 years
Louie and Dixie Lynn (Luttrell) Harris of Maryville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 12 at Calvary Baptist Church, Alcoa.
They request no gifts, saying your presence is their gift.
The couple were married Oct. 16, 1953 at West Lonsdale Baptist Church, Knoxville. The Rev. W.T. Roberts officiated.
Their family includes three children and their spouses, Teresa and Ernie Boring of Murphy, N.C., Ronald and Chris Harris of Maryville and Kelly and David White of Maryville.
They have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Harris is retired from BellSouth Telephone Company. Mrs. Harris is a devoted housewife.
They are active members of Calvary Baptist Church and have served as missionaries to Brazil.
They are members of the BellSouth Telephone Pioneers, serving the community.
