Tom and Elsie (Flanagin) Cummings of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Townsend will celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary today.
The couple were married Aug. 29, 1946 and have lived in Florida for 50 years.
They live in Big Valley Resort in Townsend in the summer months.
Their family includes their daughter Patricia and son Thomas (Buddy) Cummings Jr., both of Tampa, Fla.
They have six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cummings spent 40 years at Tanner Paint Company in Tampa where his son has worked 31 years and his grandson nine years.
Mr. and Mrs. Cummings attend First Baptist Church , Zephyrhills, Fla.
