Walkers to celebrate 60th anniversary
Rufus Eugene and Margaret (Rathbone) Walker will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Walkers' home in Townsend.
The couple requests no gifts, saying your presence will be your gift.
Mr. and Mrs. Walker were married Oct. 17, 1942.
Their family includes children Marvin and Shirley Walker, Mike and Barbara Walker, Larry and Sue Graves and Phillip and Jennie Baird.
Their grandchildren are David and Amy Walker, Jason Walker, Brian and Jennifer Walker, Danny and Sally Walker, Robert Baird and Clayton Baird.
They have one great-grandson, Aidan Walker.
Mr. Walker is retired from Aluminum Company of America.
Mrs. Walker is a housewife.
They are members of Friendly Hill Church.
