Karen Slattery and Kevin Kettler were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheeling, with the Rev. Mark Zelewicz officiating the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gerard J. Slattery of Doylestown, Pa.
The groom is the son of Henry and Patricia Kettler of Wheeling.
Attendants were Jeff Kettler, Todd Kettler, Steve Sheasley, Mark Thalman, William Vanbeneden, Colleen Sheasley, Chris Hackenberg, Edie Poirot, Nicole Abbondanza and Damara Vanbeneden.
A reception was held at the Ramada Plaza City Center Hotel, Wheeling.
The bride is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a bachelor of science degree in biology and a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a master of science degree in biology. She will be employed at West Liberty State College in the fall.
The groom is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College with a bachelor of science degree in psychology. He is employed by the city of Wheeling.
The couple will reside in Wheeling.
