Andrews - Borden

Russell Tucker Borden and Jonathan Wesley Andrews were married on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at five o'clock in the afternoon at First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro. The Reverend Doctor Sidney Franklin Batts officiated. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Proximity Hotel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hanes Borden of Greensboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Holt Tucker, junior of Danville, Virginia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Brownrigg Borden III of Goldsboro. She is a graduate of Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School. She was presented by the Debutante Club of Greensboro and by the Terpsichorean Club of Raleigh. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Claude Andrews of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude A. Andrews and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. White, all of Lebanon, Tennessee. He graduated with honors from Hampden-Sydney College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Juris Doctor from The University of Miami School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from The McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University. He is vice president and principal at Cardinal Capital Management in Raleigh. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sisters, Jane Scales Borden of New York as maid of honor and Louisa Borden Pons of Chapel Hill as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Janie Katherine Fountain, Mary Norris Fountain, Emily Preyer Oglesby, and Jane Elizabeth Preyer, all cousins of the bride; Kathleen Elizabeth Andrews, sister of the groom; Elizabeth Pearce Chapman; Rebecca Brantley Hancock; Shannon Johnson Haynes; Katherine Miller Honey; Deena Alyce Jain; Suefan Wellons Johnson; Hadley Peer Marshall; Blair Patterson Reeves; and Patricia West Weston. Sarah Virginia Roberson, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. The ring bearer was Franklin Gaddy Pons, nephew of the bride. The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Neal Allen Blinde; Joseph Bartholomew Casagrande III; Matthew Charles Faucette; Christopher Davis Jurgens; Thomas James Maguire IV; Martin Gardner McCarthy; James Michael Miller; Charles Bradley Morris III; Marc Franklin Gaddy Pons, brother in law of the bride; Richard Dean Ramey; Kristian Peter Reich; and Jason Brian Witten. Following a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
