Fulbright - Kvanvig

Anna Jennell Kvanvig and Jon Patrick Fulbright were married on April 12, 2008 at five o'clock in the evening at All Saints Chapel in Raleigh. Doctor James Seymour officiated. The ceremony was followed by dinner and dancing at Prestonwood Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Karl Kvanvig of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Collum of Raleigh, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kvanvig of Cary. The groom is the son of Ms. Nita Fulbright of Apex and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Fulbright of Cary. He is the grandson of Mrs. Willie Mae Dellinger of Newton and the late Mr. Robert Dellinger, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Terry Fulbright of Newton. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Miss Emily Kuhn of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Coryse Clarke of Baltimore, Maryland; Mrs. Cynthia Fulbright, sister-in-law of the bride, of Willow Springs; Doctor Catherine Rainbow of Charlotte; Mrs. Meagan Seymour of Holly Springs; and Mrs. Lora Stocker of Angier. Cousins of the bride, Miss Ashley Penny and Miss Madeline Penny of Raleigh were junior bridesmaids. Miss Ashley Kvanvig, cousin of the bride, of Apex was the flower girl. The best man was Doctor Michael Fulbright, brother of the groom, of Cary. Other groom attendants were Mr. Benjamin Gilardi of Baltimore, Maryland; Mr. Jordan Kvanvig, brother-in-law of the groom, of Raleigh; Mr. Benjamin Reed, brother-in-law of the groom, of Willow Springs; Doctor Matthew Shetrone of Fort Davis, Texas; and Doctor Zodiac Webster of Columbus, Georgia. The ring bearer was Master Cameron Fulbright, nephew of the groom, of Cary. Mr. Christopher Baker of Clayton, Mr. Robert Hirsch of Baltimore, Maryland, and Mr. Stace Peterson of Kernersville served as ushers. Mrs. Carrie Hill of Ahoskie was the reader for the wedding ceremony. Guest book and program attendants were Mrs. Elaina Hirsch, Miss Eliza Hill, and Miss Erin Nomiyama, all of Baltimore, Maryland. Organist David Hines, pianist Jordan Kvanvig, and trumpeter Dolly Terlizzi provided music for the wedding ceremony. The Boilermakers, a swing band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, played for the reception. The bride graduated from Davidson College and in May will receive a Masters degree in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. The bride is a scientist at Qiagen Corporation. The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his Ph.D in astronomy from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He is an astronomer at Johns Hopkins University. Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will make their home in Columbia, Maryland.
