Biser - Self
Elizabeth Katherine Self and Jonathan Blair Biser of Cary were married March 8, 2008 at the Crest Center in Asheville. The Reverend Amanda Atkin officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kyle Woodrow Strader of Raleigh, and Mr. Richard Byerly Self and Mrs. Rebecca Lenore Veazey of Cary. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Self of Smithfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond V. Ward, Jr. of Lexington. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Reed Biser of Hallsboro. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Blake Barefoot of Hallsboro, and Mr. Roy H. Biser of Lufkin, Texas, and the late Mrs. Helen O. Biser. Kristy Salem Willeford of Wilmington, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Blake Biser Brookshire of Charlotte and Jennifer Marie Biser of Hallsboro, sisters of the groom. Acelynn Grace Barefoot of Bahama, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. The groom's father served as best man. The groomsmen were Beau Hbert Memory of Phoenix, Arizona, friend of the groom, and Jeffery Allen Willeford of Wilmington, brother of the bride. Anthony Everette Willeford of Wilmington, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer. The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is the director of legislative affairs for the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The groom graduated from Wake Forest University and from North Carolina Central University School of Law. He is an associate attorney with Hardison and Cochran, PLLC. After a honeymoon trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in Cary.
