Melanie Kathleen Wilkins of Cary and William Lyndon Bennett of Raleigh were married Saturday, November 10, 2007, at five-thirty in the afternoon in Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh. Dr. Jeffrey Roberts officiated. The bride's mother hosted a reception at the Wake County Shrine Club. Guests were greeted by the bride's cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Donald W. Helms of Conway, South Carolina. The bride is the daughter of Ms. Anne Brown Wilkins of Cary and the late William Kent Wilkins of Raleigh. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lyndon Bennett of Raleigh. Matron of honor was Mrs. Kim Kemp of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The bridal attendants were Mrs. Kendall Jillings of Morganton, Miss Christine Mehaffie of Raleigh, and Miss Stacy Outlaw of Washington, DC, all close friends of the bride. The groom's father served as his best man. The groomsmen were Mr. James Glitch, Mr. Chuck Lynch, and Mr. Steve Luihn, all from Raleigh and friends of the groom. Ushers were Mr. Andy Kemp, Mr. Craig Morton, and Mr. Joshua O'Connor, friends of the bride and groom. Scripture was read by Mrs. Heather Stefanski. Guest book and program attendants were Miss Najshula Hall, Dr. Hannah Dewitt, and Miss Lisa Dunham, friends of the bride. Music was provided by pianist Mr. Tom Beard, and a string quartet lead by Miss Jamie Townsend. Melanie is a graduate of Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, and is a contract rebate analyst with GlaxoSmithKline. She is currently attending Pheiffer University working toward her Master of Business Administration degree. William graduated from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs and is a center repair manager with Verizon Business. The couple will reside in Raleigh, after a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia.
