Jennifer Sarah Locke and John Joseph McCann, Jr. of Morehead City were married October 20, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Morehead City. The Reverend Doctor Billy Seate and The Reverend Ed Morrison officiated the double ring ceremony. The brides' parents hosted a reception at the home of the grooms' parents at Spooners Creek in Morehead City. Guests were entertained by music from The Tams of Atlanta, Georgia. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Davis Locke, senior of Enfield. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Locke of Enfield, the late Mr. Kenneth Laughton Twisdale, senior of Halifax, and the late Mrs. Gwendolyn Marks Twisdale Pippen of Scotland Neck. The grooms' parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Joseph Jack McCann, Sr. of Morehead City. The bride wore her mother's wedding gown and mantilla. Greyson Lyn Davis of Rocky Mount, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Jasa Britt McCann Ellis of Morehead City, sister of the groom; Ivey Johnson Locke of Enfield, sister-in-law of the bride; Keri Vigliotti McCann of Morehead City, sister-in-law of the groom; Bonnie Louise Gietz of Greenville, friend of the bride; Eleanor Jenkins Grimes of Morehead City, friend of the bride; Ashley Whaley Jones of Morehead City, cousin of the bride; Dana King Keane of Washington, D.C., friend of the bride; Mae Blount Knott of New Bern, friend of the bride; Jettie Caroline Portwood of Atlanta, Georgia, friend of the bride; Audrey Megan Shearin of Rocky Mount, cousin of the bride; and Anna Lane VanLandingham of Raleigh, friend of the bride. The flower girls were Bowen Britt Ellis of Morehead City, niece of the groom; Margaret Ivy Johnston of Raleigh, friend of the bride; Martha Luck Johnston of Raleigh, friend of the bride; and Haley Marks Simpson of Raleigh, cousin of the bride. John Joseph McCann, Sr. father of the groom served as best man. The groomsmen were Ronald Davis Locke, junior of Enfield, brother of the bride; Eric Brady Ellis of Morehead City, brother-in-law of the groom; Thomas Hardin Hinson of Morehead City, friend of the groom; Charles Garth Kemp of Morehead City, friend of the groom; Todd Anthony Martin of Morehead City, friend of the groom; Jeffrey Cameron McCann of Morehead City, brother of the groom; John Thomas Morrow of Pine Knoll Shores, friend of the groom; James Edward Renfrow of Pine Knoll Shores, friend of the groom; and David Thomas Willis of Morehead City, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Colton Brady Ellis of Morehead City, nephew of the groom. The ushers were Gary Frank Cagle of Fuquay Varina, friend of the bride; Christopher Neal Cagle of Atlanta, Georgia, friend of the bride; Claiborne Arrington Harmon of Warrenton, friend of the bride; and Michael Jon Tillman of Rocky Mount, friend of the bride. William Ransom Johnston, III, Raleigh, friend of the bride was the crucifer. James Holden Shearin of Rocky Mount, cousin of the bride was the acolyte. The register attendant was Kellie Landen Demeritt of Raleigh, friend of the bride. Program attendants were Sarah Ragan Harmon of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, friend of the bride; Anna Claire Murnick of Raleigh, friend of the bride; and Abigail Arbes Murnick of Athens, Georgia, friend of the bride. The wedding director was Mrs. Dykeman Waldron Baily, IV, of Morehead City. The reception director and designer was Mr. John Michael Short. The reception caterer was Mrs. Mayre Graham Smith. Trumpeter Mr. Ralph Wade and organist Ms. Rachel Mundine provided music for the ceremony. Mrs. Ernest L. Ross of Enfield hosted a bridesmaids' luncheon at her home in Swansboro. The grooms parents hosted the after rehearsal dinner at the Dunes Club in Atlanta.
