Dill - Diedrick
Ann Langhorne Diedrick and Thomas Green Dill, Jr. of Rocky Mount were married November 10, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in Rocky Mount. The Reverend William Peter Brown officiated the double ring ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at Benvenue County Club. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Lawrence Gilyard Diedrick of Rocky Mount and the late Lawrence Gilyard Diedrick. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Green Dill of Rocky Mount. The bride was given in marriage by her nephew, Donald Miller McLean, III of Rocky Mount. Elizabeth Diedrick McLean of Rocky Mount, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Shannon Dawson Fenner and Sally Harris Whatley of Rocky Mount. Carolyn Huffines Whatley of Rocky Mount, goddaughter of the bride, was the flower girl. Mr. Thomas Green Dill served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Alger Vason Hamrick, III of Raleigh, Randall Walker Lee of Charlotte, and George Wilkerson Thorpe of Rocky Mount, brothers-in-law of the groom. Organist Dr. Jenny Vance and violinists John, Richard and David Deans provided music for the ceremony. The bride graduated from St. Mary's College, College of Charleston, and East Carolina University where she earned a Masters in Elementary Education and Administration-Curriculum Instruction and Supervision. She is a teacher with Nash Rocky Mount Schools. The groom graduated from Virginia Episcopal School, North Carolina State University, and North Carolina Wesleyan where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He is financial consultant with Capital Investment Companies. After a honeymoon in Blowing Rock, the couple will live in Rocky Mount.
