Katherine Purnell Mauldin and Matthew Waite Barton were married November 3, 2007 at eleven o'clock in the morning in Blowing Rock. Vicar Keith Lanyon-Jones of Cornwall, England officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at the Blowing Rock Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ray Mauldin of Rocky Mount, and granddaughter of Ms. Hazel Mauldin of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. The groom is the son of Ms. Suzanne Reavely Barton of Granite Bay, California, and Mr. Michael Lee Barton of Winslow, England. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Reavely of Cadillac, Michigan, and Dr. and Mrs. Charles Barton of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Attendants were nieces and nephews of the bride and groom, Olivia Katherine Turnage, Joshua Robert Turnage, and John Graham Turnage of Rocky Mount; Kristine Snowden Pannill, Thomas Lee Pannill, and Jane Anne Pannill of Cary; and Virginia Elizabeth Blount and James Iredell Blount, Jr. of Greenville. The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado. She is employed as the Clinic Manager for the Center for Student Success. The groom graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University, and is employed as a designer at Brooks Bell Interactive. The couple will reside in Raleigh.
