Conchas - DeSaix

Amy Katherine DeSaix and Alfonso Conchas, Jr. were married Saturday September 22, 2007 at noon at the Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Chapel Hill. The Reverend Stephen Elkins-Williams officiated. Music was provided by organist Beth Frazier. Following the ceremony a reception was held at La Residence. The bride is the daughter of Peter and Jean DeSaix of Chapel Hill. The groom is the son of Alfonso and Sara Conchas of Falfurrias, Texas. Anna DeSaix, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Louise Elsperman of Maiden and Sierra Conchas of Grottoes, Virginia were bridesmaids. Rebecca Conchas of Del Rio, Texas was flower girl. James Gibson of Maiden served as best man. Groomsmen were Christopher McGee of Jamestown and Andrew Conchas of Burtonsville, Maryland. Reader was Marianne DeSaix Harshbarger of Christiansburg, Virginia. The bride is employed as an environmental scientist with ECS Carolinas and the groom is a division manager with Demolition and Asbestos Removal, Inc. in Wilmington. After a honeymoon to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Wilmington.
