Blue - Bates

Lauren Michelle Bates and R. Elliot Blue were united in marriage on September 15, 2007 at Bouldin House in Archdale. A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, followed at Bouldin House. The bride is the daughter of Donald and Nancy Bates of Wake Forest. She is a graduate of Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. She is currently employed as a veterinary technician for Garden Creek Pet Clinic in Greensboro. The groom is the son of Robert Blue of High Point and Kathy and Barry Roberts of Norfolk, Virginia. He graduated from Elon University and works as an independent representative of Primerica Financial Services in Greensboro. The matron of honor was the bride's sister, Stephanie Bates Kaeberlein of Wake Forest. Attendants were Amy Lee Mackie of Asheville, Heather Overfield of Raleigh, and Mrs. Sandra Clancy of Greensboro. The brother of the groom, Graham Thomas Blue of Deep Gap, served as best man. Ushers were Eric Bates of Atlanta, Georgia, brother of the bride; and Craig Peterson of High Point, and Sol Kovach of Colfax, friends of the groom. Following the wedding, the couple honeymooned in Italy and are now at home in Greensboro.
