Sarah Fleming Gupton and Michael Allen Norris Jr. were married April 27, 2007 at five o'clock in the afternoon at the Lauderdale Yacht Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Reverend Chris Lane officiated the ceremony.
A reception followed at the Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Craig Gupton of Raleigh.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Wesley Hughes Jr. and the late Mr. Hughes, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Percy Linwood Gupton, all of Henderson.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Merle Coats of Raleigh and Mr. Michael Allen Norris Sr. of Clayton.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Coats of Raleigh, and Mrs. Ralph Norris of Tabor City and the late Mr. Norris.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attended by her sister, Rebekah Wilder Gupton, of Savannah, Georgia, as maid of honor.
The bridesmaids were Tracey Lynn Barnett of Topsail Beach and Ashley Woodruff West of Raleigh.
The bride's brother, Timothy Craig Gupton Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia, served as groomsman.
Scripture readers were Mr. and Mrs. Josh Godwin of Topsail Beach.After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
