Elizabeth Easley Kelly and Kenneth Thompson Miller III, both of Chapel Hill, were united in marriage Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Howard Memorial Presbyterian Church in Tarboro. The Reverend Doctor Christopher Edmonston, The Reverend Haywood Dail Holderness, Jr., and The Reverend Doctor James Braswell Holderness officiated. The reception followed at Cotton Valley in Tarboro.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Huldah Marie Easley of Dallas, Texas, and Dr. and Mrs. Robert Toms Kelly of Wilmington. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alexander Easley, Jr. of Rocky Mount, the late Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Toms Kelly, Mrs. Robert Yocum Kelly and the late Mr. Robert Yocum Kelly, all of Wilmington, and Mr. and Mrs. Charney Bertice Ragsdale of Carthage.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Braswell Holderness of Tarboro, and Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Thompson Miller Jr. of Rocky Mount. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Finley Martin Horney, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Thompson Miller, all of Jamestown, the late Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Dail Holderness of Tarboro, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alton Denson of Rocky Mount.Escorted by her father, the bride was attended by the sister of the groom, Katherine Miller Honey of Charlotte, as matron of honor and by the sisters of the bride, Kristin Ragsdale Kelly of Chapel Hill and Hilary Toms Kelly of Raleigh, as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Inez Holderness Ribustello and Grizzelle Burton Holderness, both of Tarboro, and Kittie Denson Miller of Raleigh, all sisters of the groom; and Mehegan Lynn Easley of Chapel Hill and Abigael Karen Easley of St. Louis, Missouri, both cousins of the bride. Ann Shelton Honey of Charlotte and Cynthia Simmons Ribustello of Tarboro, both nieces of the groom, and Sarah Elizabeth Easley of Chocowinity, cousin of the bride, served as flower girls.
Kenneth Thompson Miller, Jr. and Russell Braswell Holderness, fathers of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Thomas Anthony Honey of Charlotte and Stephen Frank Ribustello of Tarboro, both brothers-in-law of the groom; Chad Newton Brown and William Matthews Hudson, both of Charlotte; Donald John Bergin II of Washington, DC; John Wallace Turner of Boston, Massachusetts; Marion Eugene Williams III of San Antonio, Texas; Mark Terrance Ratliffe of Blacksburg, Virginia; and Matthew Edwin Porter Levine and Gregory Thomas Fowler, both of Raleigh.
Michael Francis Easley, Jr. of Chapel Hill and Kevin Owen Easley, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, both cousins of the bride, served as greeters. Hannah Maireen Brylowe of Miami, Florida, cousin of the bride, served as the guest book attendant.
The bride and groom are graduates of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and have just completed their final year at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where they will begin their residencies this summer. The bride will specialize in pediatric dentistry and the groom will specialize in orthodontics.
Following a honeymoon to the Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Chapel Hill.
