Jacqueline Dore' Humphrey and Hamilton Bryant Dickinson of Raleigh were married on April 8, 2006, at five o'clock in the afternoon at Ann Street United Methodist Church in Beaufort. Dr. John Check officiated. A reception followed at 115 Queen Street.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth William Humphrey of Morehead City. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dorothy Weeks Fox of Cape Carteret and the late Mr. Robert William Humphrey of Cape Carteret, the late Ms. Helen Dalton Langrell of Pine Knoll Shores, and the late Mr. John Joseph Dalton, Sr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Parents of the groom are Mr. Kenneth DeAltone Dickinson, Jr. and Ms. Edith Anne Olive Dickinson, both of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth DeAltone Dickinson, Sr. of Raleigh, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Percy Johnson Olive, Sr. of Raleigh.
Sarah Maxwell Lang Clapp and Kelly Keenan Pittman of Raleigh, lifelong friends of the bride, served as matrons of honor.
Kenneth DeAltone Dickinson, Jr. served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Kenneth DeAltone Dickinson, III, brother of the groom, and Charles Thaddeus Makenzie Roberts, brother-in-law of the groom, both of Raleigh. The ushers were James Andrew Johnson of Richmond, Virginia, Moses Dow Lassiter, III of New Bern and Matthew Walter Williams of Holly Springs, all friends of the groom.
Amanda Hockstra Jackson of Raleigh, friend of the bride, and Lisa Humphrey Murad of Atlanta, Georgia, sister of the bride, served as guest book attendants. The church bells were rung by Wilhelm Bryant O'Neal of Raleigh, nephew of the bride.
The bride attended North Carolina State University. She is a licensed realtor working as an onsite builder representative for D.R. Horton.
The groom graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He is working with a custom homebuilder in the Triangle area.
The couple honeymooned in the United States and British Virgin Islands and will live in Raleigh.
