Kayce Lynn Collier and Wesley Neil Petty were united in marriage on Saturday, June 10, 2006, at six o'clock in the evening at Hayes Barton United Methodist Church in Raleigh. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Rick Clayton. A reception followed at the North Carolina Museum of Art. The bride is the daughter of the Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lee Collier of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lee Durham, and Mrs. Zenobia White Collier and the late Clarence Raymond Collier of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The groom is the son of Mrs. Ann Horne Petty of Wilmington and Mr. Wesley Hale Petty of Sanford. He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Marguerite Allsbrook Horne of Siler City and Mrs. Colleen Petty of Pittsboro. Attending the bride were Mrs. Sallie Graves Wheeler of Matthews and Mrs. Claire Culp Ollinger of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Miss Mary Scott Willson served as junior bridesmaid. Mr. Edwin Randal Bowers of Winterville served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Matthew Durham Collier of Greenville, South Carolina, Mr. David Alexander Concha of Matthews, Mr. Charles Ashley Lamm of Charlotte, and Mr. Gregory Larry Tally of Ramseur. Prior to the wedding, parties honoring the bride were given in Raleigh by her friends Sallie Wheeler, Melanie Kraft, and Claire Ollinger; in Virginia Beach, Virginia, by her aunt, Lori Butler; and in Wilmington by her aunt, Ginni Durham. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's mother hosted a rehearsal dinner with a North Carolina State theme at the University Club. Saturday brunch for the wedding party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Graves. Hosts included Mr. and Mrs. David Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Hayman, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Willson, Mrs. Elaine Horne, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ramseur. The bride graduated from Broughton High School in Raleigh. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She continued her education at North Carolina State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Masters degree of Accounting. Kayce is employed as a senior accounting manager at Research Triangle Institute. She is an alumna of Phi Mu sorority and is an active member of Junior League of Raleigh. The groom graduated from Jordan-Matthews High School in Siler City. He attended North Carolina State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. He is currently working toward a Masters of Technology Education degree at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Wes teaches digital media and is a varsity women's basketball coach at Middle Creek High School. He is also a Canesvision videographer at the RBC Center for Carolina Hurricane's hockey team, and North Carolina State basketball and football games. Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, Kayce and Wes will make their home in Raleigh.
