Matthews - Cutler

Dr. Jennifer Leigh Cutler and Mr. William Bradford Matthews were united in marriage April 22, 2006, at four-thirty in the afternoon. The ceremony was held outdoors at Bonner's Point in Bath with the Reverend Curtis T. White officiating. A reception followed at the Washington Civic Center. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy A. Cutler of Bath. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Doris Cutler of Washington and the late Mr. Abner Cutler, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Combs of Creswell. Jennifer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her doctor of dental surgery from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. She is employed as a dentist at Burlington Dental Care in Burlington. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William H. Matthews of Asheville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Matthews of Raymond, Mississippi, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Everett Ingram of Knoxville, Tennessee. Bradford graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Environmental Science and is employed in the psychiatric unit of University of North Carolina Hospitals. Matron of honor and bride's sister was Anne Mueller of Raleigh. Bridesmaids were Julie McKinney of Charlotte, Melissa Kight of Asheville, Cortney Hill Ferguson of Greenville, Sarah Beckham of Chapel Hill, Lindsey Antosek of Salisbury, Tesha Whaley of Greensboro, Meredith Wiles of Fayetteville, Sarah Strickland of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Livia Brode of Paris, France. Sallie Mueller, Elizabeth Mueller and Erin Mueller, all of Raleigh, and Lily Kight of Asheville participated as flower girls.The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Jaime Allison of Bozeman, Montana, Rod Kight of Asheville, Stephen Seymour of New York, New York, David Kouba of Washington, DC, Christopher Russell of Alexandria, Virginia, Ryan McCutcheon of Nashville, Tennessee, Lee Ingram of Knoxville, Tennesse, Lane Smith of Boston, Masachusetts, and Virgil Thrash of Asheville. Ushers were Jack Hardison of Raleigh, William Bailey of Atlanta Georgia, and Christopher Heaney of Chapel Hill. Terry Everett and Beverly Holt of Bath served as mistresses of ceremony. Registry attendants were Dana Berry of Grimesland and Margery Clemmer of Raleigh. An after rehearsal dinner and dessert cocktail was hosted by the groom's parents at Yankee Hall Plantation in Pactolus. Following a trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Chapel Hill.
