Roberts - Vaughn
Rachel Leigh Vaughn and Graham Lawrence Roberts were married on the afternoon of November 25, 2005, at Playa Nacascolo, Costa Rica. Reverend David Horner officiated. The ceremony was followed by a sunset sail to a reception held at Villa Cascada Resort in Ocotal Beach. A local reception for family and friends was held on Saturday, December 3, 2005, at The Capital City Club in Raleigh. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Matthew Vaughn of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Norma Leigh Reich of Winston Salem and the late Mr. Reich, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Matthew Vaughn. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. James Lawrence Roberts of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Mrs. Lucille Deneen Roberts of Burlington and the late Dr. Roberts, and Mr. and Mrs. Hartwell Lamar Graham of Charlotte. Melissa Kay Newberry of Raleigh served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Lucy Kenyon Roberts, sister of the groom, and Miss Megan Carol Ryan of Raleigh; Miss Brynne Renee Johnson of New York; and Miss Vanessa Jeanne Johnson of Pinehurst. Mr. James Lawrence Roberts served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Hartwell Lamar Roberts, brother of the groom, Mr. Nicholas Matthew Vaughn, brother of the bride, Mr. Joshua Macon Taylor, and Mr. John Benjamin Moore of Raleigh; and Mr. Kevin Michael Harrell of Charlotte. Both the bride and groom graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone. The bride is employed as a first grade teacher with Wake County Public Schools. The groom is employed with Morrison Engineers in Raleigh. Following a honeymoon trip to Punta Islita, Costa Rica, the couple resides in Raleigh.
