Shipley - Del Re

Lori Lynn Del Re and Brent Lyle Shipley were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Simpson United Methodist Church, Moundsville, with the Rev. William E. Calhoun officiating the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Marvin and Deborah Del Re of Glen Dale.
Parents of the groom are Daniel and Karen Shipley of Moundsville.

Susie Cubick, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Richard Gorby served as best man.

Other attendants were Michelle Giovengo, Becky Gump and Rosie Del Re, sisters of the bride; Tara Thomas and Megan Shipley, sisters of the groom; Randy Cubick; Clarkie Gump; Carl Gilbert; Doug Kosky; Colby Cubick and Jett Thomas.

A reception was held at the White Palace ballroom, Wheeling Park.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of John Marshall High School, a 2001 cum laude graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in biology and a 2004 summa cum laude graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College with a master's degree in physician assistant studies. She is employed as an obstetrics/gynecology physician assistant at Wheeling Hospital.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of John Marshall High School and a 2002 graduate of Fairmont State College with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as maintenance planner at Consol Energy's Enlow Fork Mine.

After a cruise to the western Caribbean Sea, the couple will reside in Moundsville.
