Bennett Clark Bell and Charles O'Brien Jones were married June 17, 2006, at five-thirty in the evening at Jones Chapel at Meredith College. The Reverend Edward Elliot officiated. A reception was held at the North Carolina State University Club after the ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Alexander Bell Jr. of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clark Eugene Hixson Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, and Henderson, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Alexander Bell Sr. of Raleigh.The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clarence Jones of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lester Mutimer of Rockford, Illinois, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Urban Emmanuel Jones of Goldsboro.The bride was given in marriage by her father. Carlie Selbo Sigel, life long friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Hope Brown, Aimee Jo Foskie, Elizabeth Davis Kizakevich, and Carrie Fields Richardson of Raleigh, and Jennifer Cook Armour of Charlotte. Emily Genevieve Wilson, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.Serving as the groom's best man was Charles Clarence Jones, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Thomas Alexander Bell III of Winston-Salem, brother of the bride; Scott Ruffin Franklin of Chevy Chase, Maryland; John David Hitch and William Carlton Kinney of Asheville; and Derek Andrew Owen of Raleigh. Conor David Wilson, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.The program attendants were Noelle Simon-McLaurin and Matthew John Cartwright.The bride is a graduate of Meredith College and is the office manager at Thomas A. Bell Jr. DDS.The groom is a graduate of Elon College and is a research analyst for FMI in Raleigh.After a honeymoon trip to Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
