Kristi Lee Hunsucker and James Marion Adams junior were married on August 28, 2004, at seven o'clock in the evening in the Gardens at Fearrington Village. The Reverend Doctor Thomas A. Jackson officiated. After the ceremony, a cocktail reception was held on the West Terrace of Fearrington, dinner and dancing followed at The Fearrington Barn.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Deborah Hewitt Stine of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Allen Hunsucker of Birmingham, Alabama. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Bonnie Rozelle Hewitt, the late Mr. Willard Forest Hewitt, Mrs. Lorena Simmons Hunsucker, and the late Mr. Fred Monroe Hunsucker.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Marion Adams of Wake Forest. He is the grandson of Mr. Harold Russell Washington, the late Mrs. Thelma Gooch Washington, the late Mrs. Virginia Aiken Washington, Mr. James Baxter Adams, and the late Mrs. Lovie Dail Adams.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Kelly Marie Hunsucker, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Holly Walter Cruikshank served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Ashlee Bryan Adams, sister of the groom, Tina Hoke Doran, Victoria Brady Hunsucker, sister of the bride, and Aletia Gerken Reid. Ella Marie Doran served as the flower girl. The Scripture reader was Alexander Parks Hunsucker, sister of the bride.
The groom's father, James Marion Adams, served as best man. The groomsmen were John Kerr Cvetko, Stephen Carl Gould junior, Charles Leonard Grant II, Jason Ryan Hayes, Robert Richard Stafford III, and Brent McCullum Wright. Fred Allen Hunsucker junior, brother of the bride, Christopher Ashley Kidd, and Luis Eduardo Torres served as ushers. Chase David Reid served as the ring bearer.
The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and is a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative with NovaQuest.
The groom graduated from the College of Charleston and is a Real Estate Developer with Millridge Companies.
After a honeymoon trip to Los Angeles, California, and Bora Bora, Tahiti, the couple will reside in Wake Forest.
