Kathleen Crawford Eller and Thomas Grantham Fisher Jr. of Raleigh were married August 28, 2004, at six-thirty in the evening at Christ Church. Reverend Dr. Winston B. Charles officiated. A reception was held at Exploris Museum.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Latham Eller of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. Welborn of Archdale, the late Kathleen L. Welborn of Archdale, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Issac Milton Eller of North Wilkesboro.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. William Cloyce Anders of Raleigh, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Grantham Fisher of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Daniel Sandlin of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Jean Grantham Fisher of Raleigh and the late Mr. Dolphus Taylor Fisher.
Paige Spell Hicks of Charlotte, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Penny Bakatsias, Kimry Suzanne Blackwelder, Amanda Branch Covington, Mary Blair Hinton, Laura Hunter Meacham, Mindy Ann Mitchell, Emilie Leigh Rautus, Elizabeth Kornegay Stubbs, and Aira Webster Underhill. Madison Elizabeth Hicks of Charlotte, cousin of the bride, served as the flower girl.
Thomas Grantham Fisher served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Jonathan Cloyce Anders, Douglas Bruce Biggs, Matthew Brewton Davis, Thomas Walton Eller, Herbert Theophilus Highsmith III, Samuel Brody Hood, David Worth Joyner III, Robert Wood LeGrande, John Douglas Merritt Jr., Frank Fielding Muir Jr., Van Batchelor Noah Jr., Roger Lee Perry Jr., Peter Mitchell Scott IV, and George Milton Small IV. The ushers were George Craven Bridger, Charles Richard Dobson Jr., John Malcolm Everett, Bonner Garner Gaylord, Matthew Joseph Harrell, and William Holton Wilkerson Jr.
Helen Sewell was the wedding director and Kelly Odom provided floral arrangements. Caroline Corry Munroe was the program attendant. John Corry Munroe was the crucifer. The readers were Luther Jackson Blythe and George Outland DeLoache.
Dr. David W. Lynch organist and Don Jaye Eagle trumpeter provided music.
A rehearsal dinner and dance, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at the Carolina Country Club.
The bride graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Clothing and Fashion Merchandising. She is employed with Beanie and Cecil.
The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He is employed with Custom Brick Company.
After a honeymoon trip to Anguilla, the couple will live in Raleigh.
