Gehi - Metz
Louise Dysart Metz and Anil Kishin Gehi were married August 28, 2004, at six o'clock in the evening in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens at Duke University in Durham. The Reverend Gabriel Paul Carr officiated. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Doris Duke Center in the Gardens.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cade Metz Jr. of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eugene Dysart of Sparta, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cade Metz of Elkin.
Parents of the groom are Drs. Kishin and Chandra Gehi of Anniston, Alabama.
Anna Metz Lutz of Arlington, Virginia, sister of the bride, was the bride's attendant. Sanjay Kishin Gehi of Atlanta, Georgia, brother of the groom served as best man.
The bride graduated from Broughton High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Duke University. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The bride completed her residency in internal medicine at The University of California at San Francisco. She is on the faculty at the New York University School of Medicine in Manhattan.
The groom graduated from Indian Springs School in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated with Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering and Music, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He received his medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. The groom is a fellow in cardiology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, New York.
After a trip to the island of Elba in Italy, the couple will make their home in New York City, New York.
