Turner - Adams
Andrea R. Adams and Brad W. Turner of Raleigh were married June 26, 2004, at five o'clock in the afternoon at Jones Chapel, Meredith College in Raleigh. Father Dan Kenna officiated. After the wedding, a dinner reception was held at Holiday Inn Brownstone Hotel.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack R. Adams of Clemmons. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Caudill of North Wilkesboro, and Mrs. Mary Adams of Yadkinville and the late Gaston Adams.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Tom W. Turner of Charlotte. He is the grandson of the late David Dorton and the late Clara Dorton of Youngstown, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Turner of Greenville, Ohio.
Jeannine Spruill of New York, New York, served as maid of honor, and Kelly Hodges of Raleigh served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Grace Turner of Raleigh and Sage Turner of Asheville, sisters of the groom; Tiffany Turner, Gina Deitz, and Jone Todd of Raleigh; and Kim Tucker of Larchmont, New York. Caitlin Hodges of Raleigh served as flower girl.
Kevin Davis of Greensboro and Brian Hoppmann of Cary served as best men. The groomsmen were Eric Bowers, Mike Kenna, and Paul Richards of Charlotte; Geoff Adams of Clemmons, brother of the bride; Jason Cashwell of Raleigh; and Jason Williams of Wendell. The ushers were Brian Bowling and William Slawter of Raleigh.
Fran McWilliams directed the wedding. Floral designs were by Flowers in the Park. Sara Caudill and Kara Adams, cousins of the bride, were guest book attendants. Erica Bowling and Heather Lynch were program attendants.
Pianist Melanie Allen, organist Janet Cherry, harpist Patty Harrington, trumpeter Debbie Pitts, and vocalists the Covenant provided ceremony music. Reception music was provided by disc jockey, Vinnie Esposito. An appearance by Milton Bullock, member of the Platters, was a surprise from parents of the groom.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by parents of the groom at Caffé Luna.
The bride graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Music degree, and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Master of Arts degree in Musicology. She is a private piano teacher and pianist for Soapstone United Methodist Church.
The groom graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He is a marketing manager at IBM.
After a honeymoon trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will live in Raleigh.
