Sexton - Olin
Jennifer Eleanor Olin and Frederick Hubbartt Sexton were married on July 31, 2004, at two o'clock in the afternoon. The vows were exchanged at St. Vincent de Paul with Father Al Dash officiating the nuptials. The parents of the bride hosted the reception at The Charlotte City Club.
The bride is the daughter of Donald and Sally Olin of Charlotte. She is the granddaughter of the late Ralph and Eleanor Crandall of Sherrill, New York, and the late Bruce and Grace Olin of Oneida, New York. A 1999 graduate of Charlotte Catholic High School, Jen earned her bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University in 2003. She is employed by The Greer Group as a Client Service Manager.
The groom is the son of Frederick and Carolyn Sexton, and Tom and Nancy Adams of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Emma Hubbartt of Inverness, Florida, and the late Gene Hubbartt, and Walter and Dorothy Miller of Pine Knoll Shores. Fred is a 1999 graduate of Enloe High School in Raleigh, and a 2003 graduate of North Carolina State University. He is employed by Association and Conference Management of North Carolina as the Director of Operations.
The maid of honor was Michelle Quealy of Raleigh. Also attending were bridesmaids Margaret Adams of Boone, sister of the groom; Jaimee Buckley of Hayes, Virginia, cousin of the bride; Dana Defonte of Brooklyn, New York, sister-in-law of the bride; Christina Pascale of Columbia, South Carolina; Katie McMahon of Charlotte; and Margo Frankel and Cassidy Plunkett of Raleigh.
Best man was Andy McWilliams of Chapel Hill. The groomsmen were Danny Brush, Scot Humphrey, Stephen Jeffress, Andrew Plunkett, and John Samuel of Raleigh; Austin Langley of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and Matthew Olin of Charlotte and Michael Olin of Brooklyn, New York, brothers of the bride.
Readings were presented by Patricia Crandall, Betty Ramsey, and Carolyn Sexton. Guest attendants were Lisa Crandall and Tamara Smith. Nuptial selections were provided by soloists Christopher Cameron, Allison Modafferi, and Dottie Tippett.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Frederick and Carolyn Sexton, and Tom and Nancy Adams at The VanLandingham Estate in the Garden Room in Charlotte.
The groom surprised his bride with a honeymoon trip to the Caribbean. They will reside in Morrisville.
