Ragone - Jernigan
Leigh Lashley Jernigan and Christopher Joseph Ragone of Raleigh were married at four o'clock in the afternoon August 21, 2004, in Jones Chapel, Meredith College. Reverend James Harry and Father Mark Reamer officiated at the double-ring ceremony. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the North Carolina State University Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Richard Jernigan of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William E. Whitaker of Durham, and Mrs. Evelyn S. Jernigan of Raleigh and the late Mr. Jesse Garrett Jernigan of Raleigh.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Francis Ragone of Southern Pines. He is the grandson of Mr. E.E. Blystone of Southern Pines and the late Mrs. Delores Blystone, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lodivico Ragone of New Jersey.
Miss Heather Crane, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Jennifer Ragone, sister of the groom, Mrs. Theresa Curle, Mrs. Christy Gould, and Miss Brooke Worth.
Mr. James Curle, friend of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Garrett Jernigan, brother of the bride, Mr. Sean Burns, Mr. Tim Hunter, and Mr. Kris Powell.
Ms. Tracy Adams of A Taylor'd Touch directed the wedding. The guest book attendant was Miss Megan Brown. The program attendants were Miss Ellen Blystone and Mr. Keith Blystone.
Organist Janet Cherry provided music.
The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Amedeo's. Mrs. Lynne Brown and Miss Megan Brown, aunt and cousin of the bride, hosted a bridesmaids' luncheon at the Oakwood Inn Bed and Breakfast.
The bride graduated from Broughton High School and Meredith College. She received her Master of Science degree from North Carolina State University. She is a scientist with GlaxoSmithKline.
The groom graduated from North Carolina State University. He is a retail lender with Branch Banking and Trust.
After a honeymoon trip to Aruba, the couple will live in Raleigh.
