Schoolcraft - Beavers
Tracy Allison Beavers of Raleigh and John Kevin Schoolcraft of Sanford were married August 7, 2004, at five o'clock in the afternoon at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh. Reverend Jonathan Jeffries officiated the double ring ceremony. A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at Sisters' Garden after the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Chester Beavers of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cayce L. Hilliard of Goldston, and Mrs. Melba Beavers of Bear Creek and the late Mr. Herbert Beavers Jr.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Billy Schoolcraft of Sanford. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Sineath of Sanford, and Ms. Lola Holt Stone of Sanford.
Joy Elizabeth Mitchell of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Amanda Carrie Burris of Madison, Rebecca Jean Steen of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Tracey Dinkens Schoolcraft of Sanford, Beth Anne Delmore of Fuquay-Varina. Carmen Grey Schoolcraft of Sanford, niece of the groom, served as flower girl.
Billy Schoolcraft served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Todd Anthony Beavers of Charlotte; and Adam Landry Gaines, Darrell Hilliard, and Brian Ted Schoolcraft of Sanford. Ryan Mark Watson of Montreal, Canada, cousin of the groom, served as ring bearer.
LuWanna Stout of Raleigh was the wedding director. Barbara James of Arapahoe, aunt of the bride, and Shirley Watson of Quebec, Canada, aunt of the groom, were readers. Rebecca Gaines of Sanford was the program attendant. Bettie Carpenter of Sanford and Barbara Fogleman of Sanford, aunts of the groom, were greeters.
Dr. William Weisener provided music.
The bride received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. She is a process engineer with Wyeth Vaccines in Sanford.
The groom received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a development engineer with Sony Ericsson in Research Triangle Park.
After a honeymoon trip to Key West, Florida, the couple will live in Raleigh.
