Frances Elizabeth Salisbury of Cary and Bryan Paul Griffin of Clinton were married July 31, 2004, at six o'clock in the evening at Edenton Street United Methodist Church. Reverend Jonathan Jeffries officiated the double ring ceremony. A reception was held at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary after the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Kenneth Salisbury of Cary. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob William Berger of Charlotte, and Mrs. Clifford Henry Salisbury of Charlotte and the late Mr. Salisbury.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Thomas Griffin of Clinton. He is the grandson of Mrs. Hampton Hubbard of Clinton and the late Mr. Paul Ransom Norris, and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Thomas Griffin of Clinton.
Miss Lauren Anne Salisbury of Cary, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Ms. Emily Claire Griffin of Clinton; Ms. Valerie Marie Bennett of Lake Gaston; Ms. Hillary Jane Grannan, Ms. Heather Anne Masula, and Ms. Lauren Marie Shirley of Raleigh; Ms. Elizabeth Ann Michel, and Ms. Catherine Ann Morrow of Charlotte; and Ms. Michelle Macko Prince of Cary.
Mr. Gregory Thomas Griffin of Clinton served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Gary Allen Bennett of Lake Gaston, Mr. Timothy DeWayne Boykin of Clinton, Mr. Algernon Darius Crumpler of Dacula, Georgia, Mr. Bruce Taylor Filer of Hampstead, Mr. Douglas Gordon Greene of Topsail Beach, Mr. Steven Caison Jones of Millers Creek, and Mr. Micah Ernest Retzloff and Mr. Ray Wells Teachey of Raleigh.
Scripture readers were Ms. Rhonda Norris Blanchard and Ms. Anna Hill Powell. Ms. Kimberlea Ann Tripp was the program attendant.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held at the Capital City Club.
The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She is a kindergarten teacher with the Wake County Public School System.
The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a member of the football team. He is an investment representative with Edward Jones Investments.
After a honeymoon trip to Caneel Bay, United States Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Raleigh.
