Shana Elizabeth Separk and Brandon Lee Penny of Raleigh were married Saturday, July 17, 2004, at The Grand Old House on Grand Cayman Island. The ceremony was followed by a reception at The Grand Old House.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Chip Separk junior. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Warren Tripp of Mebane, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman Separk of Raleigh.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lee Penny of Raleigh, and Mrs. Donna Morris of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade Lee Penny of Raleigh, Mrs. Bobby James of Raleigh and the late Mr. Bobby James, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Richardson Wilmington.
Doctor Heather Rivera Gutekunst of Portland, Maine, best friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Ashley Lyn Loyd of Raleigh, sister of the groom; Miss Julie Ann Tyndall of Raleigh; and Mrs. Jennifer Elliott Ray of Raleigh.
Mr. Lewis Lee Penny, father of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Matthew Pate Scott of Raleigh, and Mr. James Bradford Whitehurst of Raleigh.
The ceremony greeters were Doctor Sara Woodring Brigman and Miss Erica Lynn Griffin.
A beachside rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents, at the Reef Grill on the eve of the wedding.
The bride graduated from North Carolina State University. She is the Marketing Director for CS Recognition Solutions in Raleigh.
The groom graduated from North Carolina State University. He is a real estate broker with Fonville Morisey in Raleigh.
After a honeymoon in the Cayman Islands, the couple will live in Raleigh.
