Andrea Brynne Christy and Daniel Arthur Bridgman were married June 12, 2004, at one o'clock in the afternoon in the Gardens at Fearrington in Pittsboro. The Reverend Doctor John P. Oliver officiated. After the ceremony, a reception was held on the West Terrace of The Fearrington House.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Christy of Apex. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Christy of Cary, and Dr. Robert LaDu of Weaverville and the late Mrs. Maynette LaDu.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bridgman Jr. of Roseboro. He is the grandson of Mrs. Eloise Bridgman of Pittsboro and the late Mr. Arthur Bridgman.
Miss Jacqueline Tschupp of Cary, longtime friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Melissa Rutala of Arlington, Virginia, Miss Clare Kinlaw of Durham, Miss Laura Hodgin of Raleigh, Mrs. Erin Carpenter of Claremont, and Mrs. Mabel Ashe of Hope Mills, sister of the groom. Mr. Michael Kincade of Cary served as an honorary bridal attendant. Miss Nyah Ashe of Hope Mills, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
Mr. Arthur Bridgman Jr. served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Robert Duckett of Raleigh, Mr. Jody Smith of Durham, Mr. James Pope of Salisbury, Mr. James Stewart of Roseboro, and Mr. Jeffrey Rector of Asheville.
The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Management and Society. She is employed as a Human Resources Generalist with Engineous Software, Inc. in Cary.
The groom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Sports Medicine. He is employed as a Disability Examiner with North Carolina Disability Determination Services in Raleigh.
After a honeymoon cruise, the couple will reside in Morrisville.
