Leslie Christine Allred and Stephen Shane Fincher of Raleigh were married Saturday, June 5, 2004, at five o'clock in the afternoon at Home Moravian Church in Winston-Salem. Reverend John Graham Rights officiated. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the bride's family farm.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sue Bowen Allred and Mr. Gary Thomas Allred of Winston-Salem. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Glenn Dixon of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Edith Culler Bowen of Tobaccoville, the late Mr. Grady Thomas Allred of Winston-Salem, and the late Mrs. Rachel Doss Bowen and Mr. Leslie Shore Bowen of Tobaccoville.
Parents of the groom are Mrs. Carolyn Davidson Fincher and Mr. Jerry Wells Fincher of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Roland Davidson of Columbus, Georgia.
Julie Alene Allred of Winston-Salem, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Natalie Allred Smith of Winston-Salem, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Margaret Lee Deloache, Laura-Burke Kerr, Ashlee Ann Lockerman, and Jami Lynn Barnhill of Raleigh. The junior bridesmaids were Taylor Christine Smith and Carson Alene Smith of Winston-Salem, nieces of the bride. The honorary bridesmaids were Heidi Ellis Dennis of Columbia, South Carolina, and Erin Livingston Webster of Raleigh. Cameron Anne Smith of Winston-Salem, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
Sean Scott Fincher of Fayetteville, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Deryl Raynor Smith junior, William Emerson Teer, Dana Paul Boyette, and David Bryson Simms III of Raleigh; Joseph Stevenson Wells of Wilmington; and Dax Carlyle Allred of Winston-Salem. The ushers were Todd Cameron Smith of Winston-Salem, brother-in-law of the bride, and John Reese Franklin junior of Nashville, Georgia. Andrew Davidson Fincher of Fayetteville, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.
The readers were Jennifer Warren Bowen of Baltimore, Maryland, and Heather Jane Kiger of Winston-Salem. Program attendants were Anne Elizabeth Harrell of Raleigh and Stacie Yelverton Kurtz of Charleston, South Carolina. The guest book attendant was Lindsay Hicks Smith of Raleigh.
Vocalist Jill Bowen Gardner of Binghampton, New York, provided music.
The bride graduated from Saint Mary's High School, St. Mary's College with an Associate of Arts degree, and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She is currently enrolled at Meredith College receiving a K-6 teaching license.
The groom graduated from Fayetteville Academy in Fayetteville, and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Management. He is the president of Premier Development Group.
After a honeymoon trip to Aruba, the couple will live in Raleigh.
