Jacqulyn Ann West and David Andrew Obara were united in marriage at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Anthony Cincinnati officiating.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. David Michael West of Colerain.
Parents of the groom are Dr. and Mrs. Daniel J. Obara of Irwin, Pa.
Kristen West, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Daniel Obara II, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Other attendants were Ellen Jane McWhorter; Elizabeth Obara, sister of the groom; Kourtney Cowart; Christina Lalama; Jennifer Stukus; Amber Racunas; Andrew Obara, brother of the groom; Michael Janeiro; Gregg Pavlik; Joe Stroz; Brian Stroz; Matthew Ardire and Allison Obara.
A reception was held at the Ramada Plaza City Center Hotel, Wheeling.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy, a 2000 graduate of Duquesne University with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and a 2004 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law with a juris doctorate. Upon admittance to the Pennsylvania Bar, she will become an associate attorney at the law firm of Lisa Marie Vari & Associates of Pittsburgh.
The groom is a 1989 graduate of Greensburg (Pa.) Central Catholic High School, a 1992 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a 1995 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law with a juris doctorate. He is an assistant public defender in Allegheny County, Pa., and is of counsel to Lisa Marie Vari & Associates.
After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple will reside in Pittsburgh.
