Elizabeth Kirkpatrick Bazemore and Jason Michael Saylors were married on June 5, 2004, at four o'clock in the afternoon at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. The Reverend Gary W. Fulton and Reverend Albert G. Edwards officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at Longview-The Poe House.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Claudia Bennett Bazemore of Raleigh, and Mr. David Henry Bazemore of Cary. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Berckley Bennett of Raleigh, and Mrs. Henry Lyon Bazemore of Ahoskie and the late Mr. Bazemore.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Clark Saylors of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Mrs. Paul Dewey Schiller of Raleigh and the late Mr. Schiller, and Mr. Luther Davis Saylors of Fuquay-Varina and the late Mrs. Dorothy Clark Saylors.
Miss Taylor Bryce Anderton of New York, New York, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Beverly Elizabeth Bizzell of Greenville; Miss Carson Case Harris of Washington, D.C.; and Mrs. Kathleen Brothers Smith of Knoxville, Tennessee. The flower girls were Miss Hadley Blake Daniel and Miss Cameron Miller Daniel of Clinton.
Mr. Saylors was his son's best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Benjamin Kyle Saylors and Mr. Paul Davis Saylors of Goldsboro; and Mr. Jonathan Andrew Bazemore, brother of the bride, of Raleigh. The ushers were Mr. Thomas Eugene Gallo of Morehead City; Mr. Joshua Emory Hammond, Mr. Jason Wade Marlow, and Mr. Charles Allen York of Raleigh; and Mr. Brian Christopher Vinson of Louisville, Kentucky. Master Taylor Mangum Daniel of Clinton was ring bearer.
The greeters were Dr. and Mrs. Charles H. Anderton of Raleigh. Miss Morgan Elizabeth Brinkley of Ahoskie, cousin of the bride, was the program attendant. Ms. Bobbi Michelle Guthrie of Raleigh attended the guest register.
Organist Mrs. Emily Burgess and trumpeter Mr. Van Zimmerman provided music.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted on Friday evening by the groom's parents at EVOO.
The bride graduated from Broughton High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The groom graduated from Goldsboro High School and North Carolina Wesleyan College.
After a wedding trip to St. Barthelemy, French West Indies, the couple will live in Norfolk, Virginia.
