Sarah Florence McCracken and Kenneth Wesley Cobb were married Saturday, November 29, 2003, at half after four in the afternoon at West Raleigh Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. The Reverends Denise Thorpe and Joe Ward officiated. Tom Lohr, organist, and Sherrill McCracken and Ryan Richardson, soloists, provided music for the ceremony. After the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at the North Carolina Museum of Art. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Frank Webb McCracken III of Sanford. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Angus Peter Phillips of Cameron and the late Mr. Angus Peter Phillips, and Mrs. Frank Webb McCracken, Jr., of Sanford and the late Mr. Frank Webb McCracken, Jr. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and from Boston University with a Master of Public Health degree. After graduate school, she served in the United States Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa. She is a public health consultant with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee Cobb of Burlington and the late Betty Rice Cobb. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Marshall Cobb, the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Norman Rice, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Floyd Brewer. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He is a project manager with Nortel Networks. Sherrill McCracken and Mary Ann McCracken Compton served as the honor attendants. Jacqueline Cavadi and Caroline Cobb, daughter of the groom, were bridesmaids. Roy Lee Cobb served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Steve Cobb, Ricky Massey, and James Webb Compton, and the ushers were Will Compton and Ryan Richardson. After a trip to Sanibel Island, Florida, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
