Hatton - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Lon Daniel Hatton of Hannibal will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows and reception hosted by their family at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at South Side Christian Church in Hannibal.
V. Marlene Glascock and Lon Daniel Hatton were united in marriage on Aug. 24, 1952, at Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal.
The Rev. W.J. Hereford officiated. Attendants were Shirley Sebers Stevens, Sandra Glascock Ledbetter, Earl Meyers and Charlie Heskett.
Mrs. Hatton is the daughter of the late Charles D. and Zelma Ruth Mirtzwa Glascock.
Mr. Hatton is the son of the late William L. and Ida Fern Ludwick Hatton.
The are the parents of seven children, Randy Hatton of Maroa, Ill., Marla Hatton Wisdom and Sandi Terford, both of Quincy, Ill., Bradley Hatton of Dallas, Texas, Jeffrey Hatton and Christopher Hatton, both of Hannibal, and Toni Park of Loraine, Ill.
They have 12 grandchildren. One great-grandchild is deceased.
Mr. Hatton retired after 23 years at William Underwood Co. and enjoys hunting.
Mrs. Hatton retired after 29 years at Super X Drug Store.
She enjoys sewing and working puzzles.
They both enjoy camping, fishing and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to the renewal of vows and reception. The Hattons have requested no gifts, but would welcome guests to bring old pictures, mementos and stories to share.
