Lamm - DeRamus
Elizabeth Brooks DeRamus of Charlotte and Averette Mitchell Lamm junior of Wilmington were married August 16, 2003, at five-thirty in the afternoon at Sloop Chapel in Crossnore. Dr. Julian McClees Aldridge junior officiated. A reception was held after the ceremony at Belvedere Linville Ridge Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Louis DeRamus of Charlotte. She is the granddaughter Mrs. Julius Harriss Covington of High Point, and the late Mr. Covington, and Mrs. James William Goodwin of Charlotte and the late Mr. James Tandy DeRamus. Parents of the groom are Mrs. Pamela Graham Lamm of Wilson, and Mr. and Mrs. Averette Mitchell Lamm of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Mr. Alexander DeWitt Graham of Columbia, South Carolina, and the late Mrs. Steadman Cork Graham, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Lamm junior of Wilson. Brandon Rivers Cabaniss of Munich, Germany, served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Laurie MacMillan Diman, Sara Elizabeth Patterson, and Kelly Cannon Ridinger of Charlotte; Steadman Lamm Lanier of Wilson, sister of the groom; McMillan Curry Edmondson of Raleigh; Candace Kessler Romeo of New York City; and Sally Jones Eubanks and Jennifer Randall Saunders of Washington, D.C. Grayson Koiner Miller and Annie Elizabeth Miller of Dayton, Ohio, cousins of the bride, served as flower girls. Averette Mitchell Lamm served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Lacy Burns Aldridge of Ashville; Brian Elkins Wallace of Raleigh; Lewis Harding Ball of Millers Tavern, Virginia; Calvin Fleming Wells Jr. of Wilmington; Bradley Burwell Eagles, Lather Graham Whitehead III and Samuel Thomas Lanier, brother-in-law of the groom, of Wilson; Justin Howard Faunce of Huntersville; and James Covington DeRamus of San Francisco, California, brother of the bride. William Cork Graham Jr. and Matthew DuRant Graham, cousins of the groom, served as cross bearers. A rehearsal dinner, given by parents of the groom, and followed by a dance, hosted by friends of the families, was held at Grandfather Golf and Country Club. The bride graduated from Oldfields School, Glencoe Maryland, and College of Charleston. She is employed with Seigle Avenue Preschool Cooperative. The groom graduated from Christchurch School in Christchurch, Virginia, and the College of Charleston. He is employed with RBC Centura. After a honeymoon trip to St. Johns Island, the couple will live in Wilmington.
