Rothrock Anniversary
Elmo and Reva Rothrock of Raleigh celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary October 12, 2002, at a party at Sunpointe Clubhouse given by The Dick Goudie and Joe Turner families.
Their children are Dick and Vicky Goudie of Raleigh and Joe and Toni Turner of Bedford, Texas.
Their grandchildren are Michael Turner, Richard, Shari, and Lori Goudie, and Diana Goudie Toney.
Their great-grandchildren are Blaine and Daniel Toney, and Ryan and Avery Goudie.
They were married October 1, 1938.

[Obituary of Reva Rothrock: "Reva Vestal Rothrock - January 21, 1918 – August 14, 2010 - Reva Vestal Rothrock went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 14, 2010. She was born January 1918 in Yadkin County, NC and was the daughter of the late William Hermon and Gertrude LaVinia Vestal. She was married to Elmo Daniel Rothrock in 1938. When Reva and Elmo moved to Raleigh, there was neither his Moravian church nor her Quaker church, so the family chose to attend Hillyer Memorial Christian Church, eventually joining and becoming Disciples of Christ, which in Reva’s words 'has been and continues to be a special joy and a precious privilege.'
Reva attended public and private schools in Winston Salem, including Guilford College and North Carolina State University. She was the second person to register as a Republican in Wake County and was a candidate in several political races, including State Senator in 1960, and Raleigh City Council in 1961. She worked in the US Census Bureau, DH Hill Library at NCSU, and was appointed U.S. Commissioner for the United States District Courts (Eastern Division of North Carolina). She is a charter member of the Wake County Federation of Republican Women and a founding member of the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women. She was a 1991 North Carolina Republican Party, Hall of Fame Award recipient.
Family includes the late Elmo Rothrock, two daughters, Vicky Goudie of Raleigh and husband Dick, and Toni Turner of Bedford, Texas and husband, Joe. Grandchildren include Shari and Paul Smyth of Occoquan, VA, Lori and Rick Goudie-Reyes of Buena Park, CA, Diana and Francis Toney of Garner, NC, Richard and Sharon Goudie of Arlington, VA and Michael and Amy Turner of Norwood, MA. Great grandchildren include Alex, Andree and Michelle Smyth, Blaine and Daniel Toney, Ryan and Avery Goudie and Brooke and Gavin Turner. Sisters-in-law include Julia Dula of Richmond, VA, Ruth Rothrock of Martinsville, VA, and Wanda Vestal of St. Petersburg, FL, and many loved nieces and nephews.
