Chamblee - Ward
Molly Margaret Ward and Neil Mason Chamblee were married at five o'clock in the evening on November 16, 2002, at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. The Reverend Steven Earl Hein and the Reverend Doctor Edward Grant Connette officiated. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Cape Fear Country Club hosted by the bride's parents. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lee Ward junior of Wilmington. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Franklin Bellomy of Wilmington, and Mrs. Edward Lee Ward senior of Wilmington and the late Mr. Edward Lee Ward senior. Mr. Chamblee is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Preston Chamblee of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lynwood Elton Mercer of Wilson, and the late Virginia Thompson Chamblee of Wilson. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Wendy Christine Ward, the sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were April Courtney Ingram, Carroll Trask Eckel, Ashleigh Davis Crocker, Sharon Aldridge Morris, Amy Warren Kimbro, Jennifer Sims Roberson, Tiffany Cooper Disrud, and Catherine Fairley Pollock. Miss Julia Isley Eckel was the flower girl. Mr. Neil Preston Chamblee served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Miles Chamblee, Mitchell Benton Sledge, Christopher Michael Hite, John D. Williams, Bryan Taylor Hunt, Jason Edward Ellington, Page Bowles Martin, and William Stephen Bartley. Caroline Smith Johnson of Elon and Caroline Roberts of Wilmington served as greeters and passed out programs. After a wedding trip to Saint Bartholomew, British Virgin Islands, the couple will make their home in Raleigh.
